Sand Dollar Place Cards

Happy New Year! With 2020 behind us, we have a fresh start and its time to get creating again! Even during a challenging pandemic, I was blessed to have the opportunity to create beautiful Sand Dollar Place Cards for a stunning wedding at the Breakers Palm Beach. At first I was a little intimidated by these beauties, but with God’s divine help I managed to pull it off. You have to research which types of ink will not bleed on the shells and you definitely need to find the right nib that will allow you to write effectively on them. It can be a little challenging because you also need to hold them at the right angle and spray with a fixative beforehand. I was pleased how they turned out!

AGATES PLEASE!

There is something so unique and pretty to use these beautiful agate rocks to personalize your special event. They come in all sorts of different sizes and shapes…they will go with just about any theme you may have for a wedding, reception, party, or special occasion. I found that at first, they are not that easy to write on in calligraphy. Using the proper ink and nib with them is key. I am using a Hiro nib and Dr. Ph Martin’s Bleed Proof White.

On Site Calligraphy Events are THE BEST!!

This past June, I had the privilege of doing on site calligraphy for a Father’s Day event at Nordstrom in Aventura, Florida. I was so excited to be a part of the event. I got there super early and the associates at Nordstrom were super nice. I was writing personalized thank you notes for Cartier. Guests would receive a handwritten note from me, in beautiful calligraphy when they purchased a bottle of Cartier Men or Women’s Fragrance. It was sealed with a gorgeous, red Cartier wax seal.

After handwriting each personal note, the emotion displayed from guests was priceless. The joy on the people’s faces as I wrote each thank you letter was very rewarding and quite special. I think it says something when you take the time out of your busy schedule and go the extra mile to make your gift personalized. I was so glad to be a part of it, and I look forward to the next corporate event!

XOXO Michelle
